Parent Filtering Now Available on Windows Devices

Parent Filtering Now Available on Windows Devices

We’re excited to share that Blocksi now fully supports parent filtering on Windows devices. Parents with Azure-linked students can now take full control through the Parent Dashboard.

Until now, families with Azure-linked students using Windows devices faced restrictions when it came to parent filtering. The lack of support for creating and managing exception lists made the experience less flexible and user-friendly.

With this update, custom filters, exception lists, and internet limits are now just a click away — on any device!

Smarter Parent Filtering

Previously, Windows devices connected via Azure had limited support within the Parent Dashboard. Most notably, parents couldn’t create exception lists, and filtering policies didn’t always sync properly. Thanks to a new backend integration with the parent database, filtering settings are now consistently enforced on Windows devices — just like on Chrome devices.

Explore Parent Filtering Capabilities on Windows Devices

With this update, parents of Azure-linked students using Windows devices can now:

  • Manage Filtering Rules: Define what type of content is allowed or blocked during different parts of the day

  • Create and Edit Exception Lists: Easily whitelist or blacklist specific websites to fit their child’s learning or family needs — even during scheduled blocked periods

  • Set Precise Access Time Controls: Establish daily or weekly internet access schedules, limit screen time during bedtime or homework hours, and enforce healthy digital habits

  • Monitor Activity with Confidence: See browsing history, blocked attempts, and filtering rule applications in real-time — across both Chrome OS and Windows devices

  • Enjoy Cross-Platform Consistency: Whether their child is using a Chromebook or a Windows laptop at home, parents now have a unified and consistent filtering experience

This brings a new level of parental control and transparency for families, helping them keep their children safe online—whether at home or at school.

A Safer Digital Space at Home as Well

Whether your child is working on a school project or browsing after hours, this update helps parents enforce boundaries and encourage healthy screen habits — right from the Parent Dashboard.

With full parental filtering control, exception list support, and access time scheduling now available on Windows, families can create a safer, more structured digital environment!
