What We Learned at Blocksi’s Back to School Conference 2026

Our annual Back to School virtual conference returned on August 11, 2026, and it was our biggest, most interactive one yet! Blocksi users logged on to kick off the new school year together for a full day of live trivia, role-based breakout rounds, and hands-on learning designed to help admins, teachers, and parents get ahead before the first bell rings.

This year’s format leaned all the way into interaction. Attendees had a chance to compete in live quizzes, spin the wheel for surprise topics, and react live to upcoming features — sharing their wishes and giving concrete feedback on where they’d like to see the platform go next. All while picking up practical tips they could bring straight back to their districts and classrooms.

Key Insights from the Conference

The day kicked off with an Opening Keynote, setting the stage for what’s new, what’s coming, and how districts can make the most of their investment for the 2026–2027 school year. Ernest Dixon, our Director of Customer Success, led the day from start to finish, keeping the energy up round after round and making sure every attendee walked away with something useful.

From there, the game-show energy took over. In Round 1, attendees put real-world filtering and classroom management scenarios to the test and walked away with best practices to apply immediately. Round 2 raised the stakes with a spin-the-wheel format for admins, advanced dashboard challenges for teachers competing to become the ultimate “Blocksi Power User,” and a dedicated Parent Challenge exploring digital wellness at home.

The clear crowd favorite was the Special Round: The Future of Educational Technology, an exclusive look at what’s coming next, from new AI capabilities to expanded parent visibility and classroom enhancements, with attendees weighing in on what they’d most like to see.

Engagement, Prizes, and a Little Friendly Competition

Beyond the insights, this year’s conference was just plain fun. Every session was woven with live trivia, interactive polls, and real-time challenges, giving attendees a reason to stay engaged from the opening keynote all the way to the grand prize drawing. Everyone who attended walked away with a digital goodie bag and PD credits for the day — plus a shot at the Championship Round prize pool.

As always, the best part was hearing directly from our users. Their questions, feedback, and friendly competitiveness throughout the day are exactly what shape where Blocksi goes next, from new AI-powered features to expanded tools for classroom management and student safety.
