With Blocksi’s Areas of Concern, parents no longer need to worry!

A new feature for our Parent dashboard is here! Parents can now check on their children’s data with the Areas of Concern feature. Unlike Admins, who have an insight into Areas of Concern for each student, the Parent Dashboard allows parents to view only the relevant content for their child so that they can provide a safer experience and act on every concerning content. 

This Student Safety feature is designed to address the content and show insights into harmful online activities exchanged between students, whether sent or received through email, Google Docs, or even Google Images. It uses both human review and artificial intelligence, which easily handles the bulk of these processes.

Thanks to this advanced solution, Google and Microsoft domains get scanned for harmful data; therefore, parents and schools continually have insight into every online activity. 

Areas of concern offer: 

• Insight in context-aware content
• One full year of searchable data
• Detailed analytics of every child online activity with screenshot evidence

The feature is turned off by default for all parents untiL BMEE Admin of the school district turns it on on their Admin dashboard. 

The Areas of Concern feature includes an Alert History Timeline and Alert Thresholds for trend analysis and machine-learning training purposes. The feature is also available on three separate dashboards – Admin, Delegate, and Parent – each focusing on different aspects of student online activity.
